ADHD Therapy

Strategies that fit your actual brain, and space for the years of being told to try harder.

ADHD work here has two halves. One is practical: initiation, follow-through, time, transitions, sleep, the paperwork that never gets sent. The other is what most people arrive carrying, a long history of being called lazy, careless or too much, and the shame that grows underneath that.

I am experienced in working with ADHD across ages, including children whose behavior at school is being misread, teens losing confidence, and adults recognizing themselves for the first time in midlife.

ADHD does not end with childhood. My work is about understanding ADHD and providing tools that help at various stages of life: school, work, parenting, and later years.

In This Work

  • Executive function and daily systems

  • Rejection sensitivity and self-worth

By the time most families call, the child already has a reputation. Undoing that is part of the work.

ADHD Therapy for Teens

Middle and high school hand a teenager with ADHD six teachers, seven deadlines and one planner, and then call the result a motivation problem.

ADHD Testing in Eugene, Oregon: What I Do and Don't Provide

I do not test for ADHD and I do not diagnose it. Here is what I would tell you on the phone, written down so you do not have to make the call to find out.

Therapy and Medication for ADHD

I am not a prescriber. I do not give medical advice, recommend medications or comment on what anyone should take. This page is about how the two kinds of help differ.
